EDITED TO RE-START QURAN READING FROM THE BEGINNING. i.e. HIZB 1 inshaAllah SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 27th

Alhamdullilah, we 'll start our Quran Reading Program on monday morning (UK time ) Inshallah .

How it works :

we do not post here the ayahs. Everyone will read out of their own mushaf or translation of the meanings of the Quran or even online. Inshallah, we will post some good links to read online.

What we will do, is that every other day, we will post the Hizb to read, like this :

example: Hizb one : Surah AL Fatiha , ayah 1 to Surah Al Baqarah, ayah 74.

then every one will have 48 hours to read it.

We were going to have one hizb a day, but after doing a little survey, we found out that sisters thought one hizb a day too much. Hence, half a hizb a day was about right. This half hizb can be further divided in 5 and a little bit read after each prayer.

Of course, if someone is able to read the whole hizb in the day, it is fine... wink

So, one day we post the Hizb to be read within 2 day, and the second day, we will post Inshallah, a question related to the hizb. It will be most of the time in the form of a poll, that non members can vote too.

So, Inshallah, let's start Monday 08th June 2009 our daily Quran reading Program..

Imaam al-Awzaa’ee (d.157H) - rahimahullaah - said: "Patiently restrict yourself to the Sunnah and pause where the people paused, say what they said and avoid what they avoided. Take to the path of your Salafus-Saalih, for indeed, what was sufficient for them, is sufficient for you."

Related by Imaam al-Aajurree in ash-Sharee’ah (p.58) and also al-Bayhaqee in Madhkal ilas-Sunan (no.233).
