Behind
Closed Doors!

Public Community Event - (13 Feb 2010 a date for
your diary!)

DI Shadwell & Wapping branch would be hosting
the first public community event to understand community need and at the
same time conceptualise Islam in the modern world.

Synopsis
The
community we leave in has various hidden agendas from myths, symbolic
statements and worse of all a general acceptance of negative community
issues. We fail to address or understand that our young people are
becoming lost, our sisters engaged in teenage pregnancy, our
brothers/fathers abusing the system for financial gain, weddings in
Islam have become even more non-Islamic, social services deal with
everyday domestic violence to child abuse within Islamic families.

The
community is becoming not only lost but sadly a very bad role model for
non-muslims to even consider becoming Muslims. This event wishes to
draw out from participants some of those hidden secrets, to divulge the
symbolism and expose the myth.

What Happens . . .
Behind
Closed Doors!

Teenage pregnancy – Domestic violence – High
divorce rates - Honour killing – Forced marriage – Marital dispute –
Child abuse - Identity crisis – Extremism - Drug addictions – Gang
fights – Out of education – High unemployment rates – Under achieving
community.
